      100% Whole Kernel White Corn Corn Meal Enriched with Vitamins (Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid) and Iron.

      Hoecakes: 1 cup Alabama King cornmeal, 1 cup self rising flour, 4 teaspoons of baking powder 3/4 teaspoon salt, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon sugar, 3/4 cup buttermilk, 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon of water, 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, oil for frying. Mix all ingredients. Heat frying oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Drop two tablespoons of batter into grease for each hoecake. Fry each side until golden brown. Remove hoecakes to drain on a paper towel lined plate: Cornbread or Corn Muffins: 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk, 2 cups Alabama King Corn Meal, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon sugar, optional. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place greased 9-inch cast iron skillet, metal baking pan or corn muffin pan in oven to heat. Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients in order listed; stir until well blended. Pour batter into hot pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes- or until golden brown. Makes one 9-inch pan or 8 to 12 muffins. Toasted Corn Muffins: After baking as in the above recipe, split muffins, butter each side and toast in oven until a delicate brown. Delicious for breakfast as well as other meals. Hush Puppies: 2 cups Alabama king Corn Meal, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 teaspoon soda,1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 6 tablespoons chopped onion, 1/2 to 2 cups buttermilk, 1 egg. Mix all dry ingredients, add chopped onion, then milk and egg, Drop by spoonful into deep hot grease where fish are cooking. Drain on paper towels.
